Therapy Philosphy

We become who we are through the relationships, communities, and cultures that shape us throughout our lives. In therapy, I work with every aspect of my client’s life to inform a compassionate and individualized approach. My practice is grounded in a person-centered philosophy that prioritizes the therapeutic relationship, and is deeply informed by liberation-focused and disability justice frameworks.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with shame and the many ways it shows up in our lives. Many of the clients I work with experience feeling de-centered or othered in the environments they navigate. My practice often supports individuals who identify at the intersections of Queer, TransgenderNeurodivergent and Disabled experiences. While a significant number of my clients identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+, I welcome and affirm people from all backgrounds in an inclusive and respectful therapeutic space. Many of my clients are ages 12+.

Specialties

My work centers on healing the impact of shame, and how it forms in response to trauma, social conditioning, and systems of oppression. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating:

  • Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating: Addressing body image, control, and self-worth through a weight-inclusive, anti-shame, HAES lens.

  • Complex Trauma & Emotional Regulation: Honoring the survival strategies that emerge from lived experiences of harm, marginalization, and erasure.

  • Addiction & Compulsive Coping: Exploring the intersection of shame, substance use, and other behaviors such as gambling, and sex that manifest due to the need for safety or escape.

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Patterns: Supporting clients in building understanding and self-compassion around intrusive thoughts and compulsions.

My practice is intentionally shaped to support clients who are Neurodivergent (including ADHD and Autistic people), BIPOC, Queer, Trans and Gender Expansive. I bring a liberation-focused, disability justice, and person-centered framework to all of my work, affirming the full humanity of each client I sit with.

In addition to individual work, I provide couples and family therapy to support loved ones navigating these complex dynamics together. Whether it’s understanding a family member’s experience with an eating disorder, supporting a partner through recovery, or deepening connection across neurodivergent, gender, or cultural identities, I help families and relationships move toward greater empathy, communication, and trust. My approach is rooted in curiosity, relational repair, and systemic awareness, recognizing that healing happens not just within individuals, but in the spaces between us.
