My name is *Aaron Roldan, and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW #117793), Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC #13339), and a doctoral student at the Institute for Clinical Social Work.
Much of my work focuses on working with “complex cases” and clients who have been deemed “too difficult” to be worked with. My work is relational in nature, and emphasizes a trauma-informed, and system-centered approach.
While I work with a wide range of individuals and have extensive experience working with a variety of presentations and communities, I specialize in the following areas:
Eating Disorders, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, & Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors
Sexual Trauma Survivors
Borderline Personality Disorder
Suicidality/Suicide & loved ones grieving the loss of someone who has died by suicide
A key component of my expertise as a clinician is my ability to work with complex issues that is attuned and focused on being adaptive and affirming for Queer, Trans, BIPOC, and Neurodivergent people. As someone who has ADHD and is an Autistic, Queer, Transgender woman of color, I utilize my own lived experience to influence my approach to working with clients of a similar background.
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.
